Pen drive showing lesser memory than actual       (Solved!!!)

Now let us see how to fix

Step 1: Format the pen drive, luckily for some persons problem may be fixed in this step itself, else it will appear like image given below.

Step 2: Click Mycomputer è Right click è Manage.

Step 3: A dialog box appears, click on the disk management on the left panel.

Your pen drive will be listed in Removable disk.

Step 4: Try to right click on it and check whether New volume option is grayed or not. If it is not greyed simply create a New volume, else follow these steps.

Step 5: Click Start è cmd è Right click Run as Administrator.

Step 6: In command prompt type “diskpart” (without quotes) and hit enter key.

Step 7: Type “list volume” (without quotes)and hit enter key.

Step 8: See the volume number of your usb drive (in my case usb drive is number 5) and then type “select volume 5” (type your volume number instead of 5 if its not 5 for you).

Step 9: Type “Clean” (without quotes).

Step 10: Type exit and then again go to Disk management by  Mycomputer è Right click è Manage and right click on removable media and now New simple volume option can be selected.

Step 11: New volume wizard appears and follow those simple steps and create new partition.

Step 12: Go and check in explorer also, your pen drive space will show without any errors.
